True-hearted Toronto foodies are very likely to know the secret that is Mary Macleod’s Shortbread. A quaint little shop on Queen Street East, it has been in business for over 30 years. The handmade, all-natural cookies can be found in their retail store, as well as many local artisan food shops and national retailers like Holt Renfrew, Pusateri’s and Whole Foods.
When we first started working with Mary Macleod’s, there were no branding or styling guidelines in place. We’ve collaborated with them over the years to develop their brand, design retail packaging for many of their products, and create marketing and advertising campaigns. The brand and logo have modernized, but we always kept their hand illustrated Rabbit & Thistle icon as part of the identity, to maintain Mary’s classic, Scottish roots.
